TE Technical Advisor Bernard Metro is a Project Engineer with Westinghouse Electric Co. LLC and also consults on utility electrical and I&C issues. He is also a part-time college lecturer in engineering topics. His role with Text Engineer is that of a recognized expert in the fields of power generation, industrial automation and electronics, as well as nuclear safety & licensing. He is available for technical authoring, reviews, project management and engineering consulting.

Mr. Metro began his professional career as a safety evaluation engineer in the Westinghouse Nuclear Safety Department. He has authored hundreds of concise safety analysis evaluations on the design, construction, modification and repair of safety-related nuclear plant systems. Before completing his engineering studies, Mr. Metro was the coordinating editor of the Westinghouse Equipment Qualification Test program. As coordinating editor, he was responsible for generation, review and publication of a large volume of test reports detailing the environmental and seismic durability of safety-critical electrical and electronic components in compliance with NRC requirements.

Mr. Metro has authored a number of original methodologies and analyses that serve as the licensing basis of operating commercial nuclear generating stations. Review committees of both utility customers and the NRC staff have scrutinized these works.

In recent years, Mr. Metro has written sets of procedures that effected the integration of operations of acquired companies and established project management infrastructure.
